Located on Stanley Street, Townsville City, the CopperString Experience Centre provides an engaging hub for visitors of all ages.
You will be immersed in the project through eight educational zones with interactive hands-on exhibits. CopperString
CopperString supports North and North West Queensland by delivering affordable, reliable and sustainable energy.
With the first stage of the project delivery set to be complete by 2032 (subject to approvals), CopperString will connect the region to the National Electricity Market (NEM), enabling new generation, firming, industrial development and economic growth.
CopperString officially broke ground in July 2024 in Hughenden with the construction of the workforce accommodation and facilities.
The CopperString Experience Centre acknowledges the Traditional Owners and their custodianship of the lands and waters of Queensland and in particular, the lands on which we operate. We pay our respect to their Ancestors, Elders and Knowledge holders and recognise their deep history and ongoing connection to Country.
